[ARTful] Salvage was born from a love of creating, repurposing and salvaging. I simply abhor seeing perfectly "useful" items headed for the landfill or tucked away in a cardboard box, never seeing the light of day. I believe there is always beauty to be found, even under a layer of rust or a coating of dust. I see scratches, dents or imperfections as badges of honor to be worn proudly. I have a great love for the history, story and life of a piece. We lovingly dream up ways of restoring new life to these discarded and neglected fragments of life. Who I am.
All my ART comes from the hands, heart and mind of a Mixed Media ARTist. I am a native of rural, central Illinois and am a recent and grateful transplant to Central Florida. After 25 years......I have finally come "Home". Of all the gifts I have received, God blessed me best, the day He instilled a passion to create in my soul. Time spent in the Studio in praise to Him and up to my elbows in glass, paint, junk and glue is the saving grace of my life. For this I am forever grateful.
